The JDB Team participated in the annual Rampathon, an event organized by the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties (MBAKS). This community volunteer program builds ramps for families around the region.
MBAKS has been running the Rampathon since 1993 and Jackson Design Build has been honored to be a part of it for the past decade. Each year, members are connected with a family in the community who are in need of a ramp in their home. This year, the recipient was a family with a young teen who recently started using a wheelchair.
James Tabafunda, from NW Asian Weekly, stopped by the ramp build site to learn more about the event and JDB's part in it. You can read more about this particular project and the initiative in his article, here: "Community rallies to build a symbol of solidarity for local teen".
