After exploring the structural integrity of an existing backyard cottage, it became clear that it would be best to build a new DADU (detached accessory dwelling unit). So that’s exactly what we did! This lovely 2-bedroom cottage warmly welcomes out of town family and friends. But, on a daily basis, this cottage is our client’s writing studio where the custom bookshelves and the must-have library ladder fit the function of the space perfectly. The tiny kitchen with the Salty Blue cabinets and small appliances are perfect for whipping up lunch and after-school snacks for the kids.
