This Matthews Beach kitchen and outdoor living remodel was all about creating a space that truly supports a busy family of five. The original kitchen felt outdated and disconnected from the backyard — not ideal for everyday life, entertaining, or a dad who loves to cook.

We reimagined the layout to improve flow and function, including removing a window that interrupted key work zones. The result is a kitchen that feels intuitive and efficient, making cooking and gathering easier than ever. Ample storage was a top priority, so we incorporated smart cabinetry solutions.

A new waterfall-edge countertop anchors the space, providing generous prep area, casual seating, and a clean, modern focal point that brings everyone together. Just as important was reconnecting the kitchen to the outdoors. Strengthened visual and physical connections including adding new French doors to the backyard now allow the family to move seamlessly between indoor and outdoor living, expanding their space for meals, play, and relaxation.
