Wallingford Kitchen
Our client initially just wanted new countertops and a dishwasher. We pointed out that she would still probably be unhappy with her kitchen because of the limited counterspace, and the wall cabinets that made half of the counters unusable. When we came up with creative ways to get her a virtually new kitchen within her budget, the answer was, "Let's do it!"
This project won a REX Award in 2003 for "Best Kitchen under $50K". We kept the budget under control by limiting our scope, keeping what we could, and making clever use of moderately priced materials.
